VolunteerVolunteer

Charlie's Angels Animal Rescue is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff, so there are LOTS of opportunities to help as a volunteer.  Whether it's helping out at Safe Haven, transporting animals to vet appointments, or participating in one of our fund raising events, there is always something to do!

If you would like more information about volunteering, contact us at volunteers@wncanimalrescue.org.  Please enter the word "volunteer" in the subject line of your email.

Fostering

As a foster "parent" you can play a vital role in helping save the life of an adoptable dog or cat by keeping them safe and caring for them until a rescue solution is found or an adoption is coordinated.  We will work with you to make sure we choose an animal whose needs work best with your specific situation.

If you are interested in fostering please review our Foster FAQ's for more information.

Transportation

We rescue animals from the Transylvania County shelter and the Henderson County shelter and they all must be transported either to Safe Haven or a foster home. In addition, nearly every animal we rescue requires some form of medical care and/or treatment including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and treatment for any medical conditions.  Our medical care is provided by Banfield's Pet Hospital, located inside the Petsmart Store in Arden, just past the Asheville Airport. We also make weekly "runs" to the Humane Alliance Spay/Neuter Clinic in Asheville.

It is a policy of Charlie's Angels to transport all animals in pet carriers (crates).  If you do not have a crate, CAAR has crates in varying sizes that you are welcomed to use.

Safe Haven

CAAR now has it's own kennel and "safe house" for our rescue animals! Safe Haven is located in Fletcher, next to Smiley's Flea Market. There is a tremendous need at Safe Haven for volunteers! If you have time to walk a dog, help clean, answer the phone or just lend a hand in any number of ways, contact  us at Volunteer@wncanimalrescue.org. Please enter the word "volunteer" in the subject line of your email.
